AFL & BEITZEL ANNOUNCE SEN TO CALL AFL

'IN A CHERRY PICKER'

Sports radio station SEN 1116 will call AFL from this Friday night in a deal brokered by veteran Football callers Harry Beitzel and Bill Jacobs. The call will only be heard on the internet in what is also a first.

The twist is they will be calling the game from a cherry picker above the Great Southern Stand. The deal has angered rival 3AW who are set to launch a class action against the AFL.

Beitzel and Jacobs last called Football together in 1989 on 3AW and  both are delighted to be returning to the 'Call of the game' the title SEN will give their live AFL coverage and find it ironic they are the ones to break new ground.

The Big 'H' contacted SEN a fortnight ago with proof of a loop hole that showed the current radio calling rights only referred to games called inside the ground and broadcast on the AM and FM band thereby forcing the issue that calling the game from outside of the ground was legitimate providing an 'instant in' for fledgling SEN 1116.

Marathon talks have since taken place and advertising deals for the side of the cherry picker have been sold to internet service provider Dodo

Friday night will see the two elder statesmen of football calling paired together high above the 'MCG'. Special comments will be provided by former Collingwood Champion Peter Daicos recently let go by Channel 10. 

It was also announced Anthony Hudson would call Sunday games with current SEN weekend co- presenter Ian Major.
