3AK Hall of Fame

3AK Hall of Fame came about quite by accident at the start of 2002.

With yet another line up change and the future of Derryn Hinch clouded for his second year on the station the list of former on air presenters was growing literally week by week.

Move forward 12 months and the list had almost grown by one third and there was hardly a week that went by when 3AK made a programming change.

2003 saw this page update almost daily with lots of gossip, rumours and a colourful guestbook and it quickly became a compulsory daily read from people of walks in the radio industry.

With the page background music set to Queens hit 'Another one bites the dust' we were actually shocked and dismayed at the comings and goings so we adopted a light hearted approach to what at times was a tragedy for all concerned.

We were live on the page when all the big stories broke and tried to  create a forum that kept listeners and sometimes  even 3AK staff  up to date and entertained.

It all came crashing down at midnight on the 18 of January 2004 when 3AK switched to SEN1116.

The name 3AK might now be just a memory but this page will live on and whenever some news related the station hits the headlines you can be sure we will cover it here.

Back ground theme playing is 'Love is Blue' from 1968 by  Paul Mauriat and a signature  tune from the 3AK Beautiful Music era.

3AK Hall of Fame
Welcome to the home of all things 3AK, we call it the 3AK HALL OF FAME  and here we will keep the dream alive.

During the years between 1997 to the start of 2004 3AK  had an enormous turnover of presenters and below we list them..
Further down   is the Honour Board where we also list the great names of more than 70 years of exciting broadcasting by 3AK. Some great old images too.
As well
from time to time we dig up a story from the past.

Right from the day 3AK was sold to Fusion, 3AK  had an enormous turnover of presenters and below we list them all from early 1997 right up until early 2004.

See if you can spot the double inductees.
