Olympic Games coup?
Newcomer on the radio block, sports broadcaster SEN, could be about to pull off a coup. The station, which already has made its presence felt by breaking several significant stories, could secure the Melbourne commercial AM broadcast rights for the Athens Olympics. The John Singleton-led 2GB has the rights to the games in Sydney, but that station does not have an affiliate in Melbourne.SEN boss Danny Staffieri confirmed this week that the station had been in talks with 2GB, and that there was a chance that a deal could be struck. “As a sports station, we are interested in all these things,” he said.22FEB2004
