Big fish eat little fish

AH, the business lunch. It was an unusual mix at the Business class Corporate Club luncheon at Caffe Paesano - Premium Financial Services - Comm Sec state manager Steve Wright, MIX 102.3 and 5DN general manager Steve Rowe, mixing with model agent Tanya Powell, Darwin Defenders Adelaide branch chairman Ray Buttery and Channel 10 sports presenter and Media Insider director Mark Aiston to name just a few.

Held upstairs at the O'Connell St venue, the shin-dig hosted by former MP Andrew Jones was all about networking, though a donation was made to the Salvation Army, Calvary Heath Care, and the MS Society (SA) as well.

With guests invited to give a mini-speech about their company, Steve Wright kept his brief.

"If anyone's had a problem with a bank, a lender or financial institution come and have a chat," he jokes.

"I guess that's pretty much everyone isn't it?"

We're surprised he didn't get knocked over in the rush.

Not to be outdone Steve Rowe followed up: "If anyone's had any problems with a radio station, come and have a chat with me."

Meanwhile the Adelaide Media Club held its own lunch with Paul Thompson as the guest speaker.

The boss of DMG Radio, which includes 5AA and NOVA, had a chance to win over the 150 diners at the Radisson Playford.

With Nova poaching, it's our guess a few media types were trying to impress.
